Unsere Philosophie ist, dass Orava's Nest ein Ort der Ruhe, Entspannung und Entschleunigung sein soll.

Vögel und Eichhörnchen vom Fenster aus oder draussen im Hof zu beobachten ist spannender als Netflix zu konsumieren.

Am Kaminfeuer ein gutes Buch lesen und aktiv die Stille geniessen, ist entspannender als im Internet zu surfen.
Im "Hier und Jetzt" zu sein fetzt!

Deshalb haben wir uns entschlossen, in Orava's Nest KEIN WLAN und auch KEINEN Fernseher oder Radio zu installieren.

Natürlich verstehen wir, dass man die Welt ausserhalb nicht abschalten kann und will: Kurz den Wetterbericht oder die Nordlichtervorhersage zu prüfen, den Liebsten zuhause vom Erlebten erzählen und sie mit schönen Fotos neidisch machen, auch das soll und muss möglich sein.

Our philosophy is that Orava's Nest should be a place of peace, relaxation and slowing down.

Watching birds and squirrels from the window or outside in the yard is more exciting than watching Netflix.

Reading a good book by the fireplace and actively enjoying the silence is more relaxing than surfing the internet.

Being in the "here and now" is awesome!

That's why there's NO WiFi, NO TV or radio in Orava's Nest.

Of course we understand that you can't and don't want to switch off the world outside: checking the weather report or the northern lights forecast, telling your loved ones at home about what you experienced and making them jealous with beautiful photos - that too should and must be possible.
